CHAMPAIGN — Nichole Millage noticed the knee-length socks Katie Holloway Bridge was wearing over her prosthetic leg when her new teammate walked into her first Team USA sitting volleyball camp in 2006.
Just a year earlier, before she attended her first camp with the team, Millage might have been similarly dressed, hiding any evidence of her disability or her identity as an amputee.
